Swedish police have said that around 10 people have died in today's shooting attack in Orebro.

Speaking during a press conference, police added that they do not expect any further danger.

They also do not believe there is a terrorist motive connected to the attack at Risbergska School, but this is not conclusive at this time.

The Swedish police website states: "Around ten people were killed in the incident. We are currently working on identification. The total number of injured is currently unclear."

Regional authorities in Orebro previously confirmed six people had been hospitalized, with one in a serious condition.

Police also said the perpetrator of the shooting is among the victims. His identity has not yet been released.

The leader of Sweden's conservative opposition party said he went to the school where the shooting took place.

Liberal Party leader Johan Pehrson said he was a student there when the campus was previously used as a high school.

The attack is a "black day" for the country, he added, saying his thoughts were with all those affected.
