The pilot of the "Turkish Airlines" company dies during the flight, the plane makes an emergency landing in New York

A Turkish Airlines pilot died during the flight from Seattle to Istanbul.

International media reports that captain Ilcehin Pehlivan, 59, developed health problems and was immediately given first aid by colleagues while the plane was over the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

However, the help did not have an effect and his assistants decided to land the Airbus A350 plane at the John F Kennedy airport in New York.

Pehlivan had been working at "Turkish Airlines" since 2007 and had undergone regular medical check-ups, the last one in March, and had not shown any health problems that could affect his work.
