In America, it seems that the solution to cool off a little during the day has been solved by the authorities.
Videos are circulating everywhere on social networks that show citizens, but also animals, cooling off on the street from the heat, for which not only a bottle of water in hand but an ice cream is enough. In addition to swimming pools open 24 hours, ice cream or even the shade of trees, the authorities have placed in the hottest cities, also several artificial fountains, everywhere in the streets and neighborhoods.
In many states, including Washington, the weekend temperatures have reached new records, since the 80s, with almost 40 degrees. And according to the US National Service, this summer will break records from decades past.
However, the health authorities warn citizens: to avoid peak hours, leave the cooling system and air conditioning on, but at a constant temperature.
Parts of southeastern America have been suffering from extreme heat since June 20, which has put more than 86 million people on alert. In fact, the residents say that it was so hot at some times, that neither the pools nor the air conditioning, no longer performed any function.
But according to the US National Weather Service, Philadelphia, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Maine are expected to still get scorched next week.
