A horrific video shows students at a school in New Mexico 'flying' in the air after the school bus collided with a car, which was moving at a speed of about 180 km / h.

Footage released this week by police in Albuquerque shows 23 high school kids talking quietly inside the bus, until they suddenly start screaming after the bus they were transporting was hit by a Ford Mustang car.

All the young people are seen jumping on the bus, reports nypost.

Then, 23 young people inside the bus continue to shout and call for help, where at least two of them suffered serious injuries and needed surgery, police announced.

The driver of the Mustang, Mario Perez, 49, was also injured and after hospital treatment, has appeared in a US court.

Otherwise, he remains in custody after being charged with grievous bodily harm caused by the vehicle, a third-degree crime.
