The comparison that President Putin has made to the two regions of Ukraine with Kosovo, saying that Donetsk and Luhansk have been recognized by Russia based on the precedent of Kosovo, has caused outrage in Serbia.

Today, Serbian tabloids, but also the most "serious" media in Vucic's hands, have exploded with "anti-Putin" covers, saying that in this way he is recognizing Kosovo.

A day after Putin's statement on Kosovo as a precedent for Russia's recognition of Ukraine's regions, the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), Serbian media reacted aggressively to his words.

According to Serbian media "Blic", Vucic will have a speech on Friday or Saturday, where he will deal with the statement of the Russian president on the recognition of the regions of Ukraine. The Serbian president is also expected to talk about Russian gas supplies to Serbia, especially in the context of supply disruptions from neighboring Bulgaria.

On the other hand, the front pages of Thursday's Serbian newspaper, especially those controlled by the Vucic regime, openly show the shock, from what Putin said.

"Blic" brings a front page in which the loyalty of the Serbs to Putin is questioned: "Have we as a nation sworn too much to the Russian president: Putin has forgotten the Serbs and Kosovo because of the war".

Tabloidi “Srpski Telegraf” është shumë më i ashpër –  në ballinën e së enjtes ata shkruajnë: “Kështu janë vëllezërit rusë? Putini e goditi Serbinë pas shpine: Ai e shkëmbeu Kosovën me Donbas”.

Edhe “Kurir” ka goditur Putinin në ballinë: “Interesi lakuriq: Putini mbron interesat në Donetsk dhe Lugansk me interesin e tij, pa marrë parasysh pozicionin e Serbisë në Kosovë”. Në vazhdim të titullit është interesant të theksohet mesazhi “shteti ynë duhet të udhëhiqet ekskluzivisht nga interesat e veta”.

Tabloidi “Alo”, përdori deklaratën e Putinit në faqen e tij të parë në një “kontekst rajonal”. Kështu thotë “Festë në Prishtinë, Zagreb dhe Sarajevë për shkak të deklaratës së Putinit”.
