Greek media have bleached the scheme of how criminal groups are exploiting Ukrainian and Russian women and girls for prostitution.
The group had been set up before the war broke out in Ukraine. The victims were lured with the promise of a place of work as a waitress in Greece, especially during the tourist season and then used for prostitution.
Protothema writes that women and girls who accepted arriving in Greece were kept locked up in apartments, where they were forced to exercise prostitution several times a day against payments of 60 to 70 euros.
Greek police say they are investigating the case even further, while the so-far detained group of 13 people also has former victims of the network who have subsequently turned into users.
