The latest British scanner: Why the Russian army is proving incompetent

Russia has been forced to merge various military units involved in failed operations to advance forces in northeastern Ukraine, according to a British military announcement on Twitter today.

"The problems of regular coordination of Russian forces remain. "The lack of effective combat capabilities at the level of coordination between military units, as well as insufficient air support, have made Russia incapable of managing its firepower, despite improvements at the local level," the Twitter post said.

"Russia hopes to resolve the issues that have previously delayed its occupation of Ukraine through the geographical focus of its combat capability, the shortening of supply lines and the simplification of the management and control of military operations," the British defense said.
