A serious incident happened in the United States of America where a person killed his pregnant ex-partner to escape punishment for domestic violence.

Foreign media write that the serious incident took place in Alabama where the 37-year-old man waited for his pregnant ex-partner to return home and then stabbed her to death because he thought she would accuse him of domestic violence. would send him back to prison.

Bradley Wayne Stokes was arrested in Columbus, Georgia, according to a statement posted on the Russell County Sheriff's Facebook page.

He is accused of killing the 37-year-old woman, who was eight weeks pregnant and hid from him at a fire station in Alabama.

According to the statement, county investigators, assisted by a neighboring county sheriff's office, apprehended the suspect after "a brief vehicle and pedestrian pursuit." Stokes is charged with murder and is awaiting extradition to Russell County.
