Kosovo Police detained 16 Serbian citizens in Gjakova and Prizren this Sunday, including, according to Interior Minister Xhelal Zveçla, active officers in the Serbian Security Services.
Zveçla wrote on Facebook that 4 Serbian citizens were arrested in Gjakova and 12 others in Prizren. The Interior Minister said that maps, photographs of Serbian terrorists killed in Banjska, two knives, an axe and a portable light were found on these individuals.
Sveçla added that the arrested Serbian citizens aimed to collect information and evidence regarding the terrorist attack in Banjska, where Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
According to the Kosovo Interior Minister, the Serbian citizens arrested over the weekend had links to the terrorists who organized the Banjska attack, including Milan Radojcic.
Sveçle's announcement came after a meeting of the Kosovo Security Council, where Prime Minister Albin Kurti accused Belgrade of interfering in Kosovo's internal affairs and preventing the formation of a new government. Kurti claimed that Serbia had pressured minority MPs not to form a coalition with him.
