Three NATO warships arrived in the Finnish port of Turku on Monday for a joint exercise with the local navy, at a time when official Helsinki is considering NATO membership due to rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine. .

It will be a two-day exercise, which will start on April 28, with the aim of preparing the Finnish Navy to participate in Alliance response missions.

Nordic Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on April 13 that her country would decide in the coming weeks whether to apply to join NATO.
