Moldova: We will declare a state of emergency, we are ready to help the

Moldovan President Maya Sandu announced today that her country would declare a state of emergency and was ready to receive tens of thousands of people from neighboring Ukraine.

"The international community has strongly condemned Russia's actions against Ukraine, so I called for a Security Council meeting where it was decided that the government would ask parliament to declare a state of emergency," Santou said.

Meanwhile, dozens of cars have formed queues on the border between Ukraine and Moldova, foreign media suggest.
