As the plane crash where the head of Wagner's mercenaries, Yevgeny Prigozhin, died, is shrouded in mystery, other hypotheses are circulating in the media about the causes of the crash.

The Russian daily "Moskovski Komsomolets" casts doubt that the explosion of a bomb placed in the air conditioner of his private plane may have been the cause of the fall of the aircraft.

The bomb may have been planted during the repair of the air conditioner, as the Emberer Legacy plane has been in service near Moscow's Shemeretjevo Airport since July 18 when the problem appeared. During this time, Prigozhin traveled on another plane.

The head of Wagner planned to sell his private jet and entered into talks with the RusJet company. The managers of this company, Aleksandra Julina and Sergej Klokotov, were invited for a test flight on August 20, from Moscow to St. Petersburg. The plane's air conditioner had been replaced the day before on August 19.

The press writes that Wagner's boss had a habit of changing the dates at the last moment for security reasons, so he decided to postpone the flight to August 23, the day of the tragedy, when it is thought that the plane went down after an explosion on board.

There are other doubts that the bomb may have been placed in one of the wings of the aircraft.
