Ferrero has attracted millions of packets of children's favorite "Kinder Surprise" chocolates from the market. Products that withdraw from the market are "Kinder Surprise" produced in Belgium and which have the expiration date between July 11, 2022 and October 7, 2022.

The company doubts that this product is contaminated with salmonella bacteria, which causes diarrhea, headaches, fevers, while it can lead to loss of life if not treated in time. So far many cases of salmonella have been reported in children in various States of the European Union and Great Britain, under suspicions that the infection has come from this chocolate.

Authorities carried out investigations casting strong suspicions that it was precisely this chocolate that had caused more than 100 cases of Salmonella in Western Europe and Great Britain.

British food safety authorities called on citizens not to consume these products until a second order.
