While the FBI is investigating the serious event that has shocked the USA, the name of the assassin of former President Donald Trump has been revealed. As foreign media write, it is about 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

This photo of the young man who injured Trump was published in the media:

The latter shot several times at Trump, wounding him in one ear.

The event happened in Pennsylvania, where Trump was giving his speech to voters.

The author of the injury was immediately killed by the forces of the Secret Service. 

Trump confirmed in a statement published on his social media page that the attacker was killed, as was a rally participant. Two other people were injured, according to a statement from the Secret Service.

Trump thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their work.

"Most importantly," he said, "I want to express my condolences to the family of the person who was killed, as well as to the family of another person who was seriously injured. It is unbelievable that such an act can happen in our country".
