Kosovo increases readiness, Kurti speaks after the meeting of the Security
Albin Kurti

Prime Minister Kurti declared after the meeting of the Security Council, that Kosovo, after the situation created with the kidnapping of 3 police officers by the Serbian special forces, has decided to increase the state of readiness.

The head of the government announced that border controls have also been tightened, as he expressed his surprise at the silence of international authorities regarding Serbia's actions aimed at destabilizing the country and the region.

" We discussed the aggressive action of the Serbian Police that kidnapped the three Kosovo police officers. We talked about the general security situation, especially in the 4 municipalities in the north. Yesterday's case was aggression and revenge against the police who are fighting crime. Our institutions have increased the level of readiness. Border controls with Serbia have been tightened, especially for vehicles.

We have increased border controls and traffic can be stopped when it is thought to pose a risk. Our goal is safety and it starts at the borders. We once again demand that the 3 police officers be released. Serbia has not changed its goals, what is strange is the silence of the international community towards Serbia's actions ", said Albin Kurti.

The meeting of the Security Council was attended by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Deputy Minister Besnik Bislimi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, Petrit Ajeti, Director of KIA, Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu and Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati.
