In an unusual incident, an employee of a major pharmaceutical company fainted during an event organized to announce the price of weight loss drugs, which was held in the Oval Office.

The White House confirmed the incident, but stressed that the person in question felt better after a few moments and received the necessary medical attention.

Attendees at the event included representatives from two well-known pharmaceutical companies, Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly, which make popular weight-loss medications such as Ozempic and Zepbound. The unexpected incident, however, did not prevent the announcement of the agreement that is expected to lower the prices of these drugs and make the treatments more affordable for American citizens, including those enrolled in Medicare.

During the event, an employee of one of the pharmaceutical companies fainted just a few feet away from President Donald Trump, who was sitting at the Resolute Desk. White House aides responded immediately and asked reporters to leave the Oval Office due to health concerns. Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, took immediate action by helping the person lie down and providing the necessary medical assistance.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said the sick person was fine within moments, and the incident had no further effects. She confirmed that the press conference would resume shortly, adding that the employee had received appropriate medical care.

President Trump called the incident a minor disruption but assured the person was fine. He commented on the situation calmly, focusing on announcing the price of weight loss drugs, which will become more affordable for Americans.
