Experts warn that Greece is facing an increasingly severe water shortage, with the most critical situation reported in Athens and its surrounding areas.
The drought problem in the country has worsened significantly compared to last year, as water reserves continue to decline.
Athens, which is home to nearly half of Greece's population, is experiencing particular pressure as the water level in Lake Mornos, the city's main water source, has dropped significantly.
Photographer Panagiotis Panayiotopoulos said he has been photographing Lake Mornos since 2000 and has witnessed the changes in the lake over the years.
Panayiotopoulos said that in the early years, only a few roofs of houses were visible above the lake, but now due to the effects of the drought, most of the village has reappeared.
