Horror in Mexico, ten dead bodies found in the state of Zacatecas

Mexican authorities have found ten bodies in the state of Zacatecas, an area that has faced violence for years linked to clashes between criminal organizations for control of drug trafficking routes.

According to authorities, the bodies were discovered on Saturday in the municipalities of Morelos, Pánuco and Sain Alto. The motives for the killings and the identities of the suspected perpetrators have not yet been revealed.

Zacatecas was one of the states hardest hit by violence during 2021 and 2022, when criminal groups clashed fiercely for control of strategic drug trafficking corridors.

Mexico continues to face high levels of crime, with gangs involved in drug and human trafficking remaining one of the country's biggest security challenges. According to analysts, criminal organizations, particularly the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel, continue to fight for control of lucrative territories and trafficking routes.

Authorities have launched investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident, while the identities of the victims and those responsible for this serious criminal act are expected to be determined.
