A woman who was struck by lightning and managed to survive has revealed how the strike caused her eyes to change color.

Carly Electric, as she is known to her friends, has always been fascinated by lightning, and has even gotten three tattoos dedicated to the weather phenomenon.

So, when a storm started, she immediately went outside to get a better view.

But then, while recording on her phone, the 30-year-old was struck by lightning.

"I had tremors traveling up and down my arms," she said.

"When I went to look at myself in the mirror, I saw that my pupils had dilated," she continued.

She then lost feeling in her legs and became paralyzed, as relatives immediately took her to the hospital.

But although she managed to recover completely, the lightning left a change in her that she will never forget.

"My previously green eyes are now dark brown. When I looked it up online, I discovered that it wasn't uncommon for this to happen to people who had been electrocuted."

"The top of my head is very sensitive, where I got hit, it's hot to the touch, so I have to avoid it when washing my hair," she shared.
