Milorad Dodik, the president of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, is in Israel where he will participate in a conference on anti-Semitism in Jerusalem on March 26 and 27, while an arrest warrant has been issued for him in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dodik arrived in Israel on Tuesday on a RS government plane that departed from Belgrade, Serbia. The day before, under still unclear circumstances, he had crossed the border between Bosnia and Serbia to Batajnica, near Belgrade, where he participated in events organized for the anniversary of NATO bombing of Serbian targets, REL reports.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina Border Police have announced that they are conducting an investigation into Dodik's border crossing. The President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Assembly of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković and Nenad Stevandić, are suspected of attacking the constitutional order, and a central arrest warrant has been issued for them, as confirmed to Radio Free Europe on March 17.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo sentences the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to one year in prison and a six-year ban from holding the office of President, for failing to comply with the decisions of the High Representative of the international community, Christian Schmidt. Dodik is declared non grata by the US, just like Sali Berisha.
