Giorgia Meloni is declared "man of the year" in Italy

The Italian newspaper "Libero" has crowned Giorgia Meloni as "man of the year". The site Gay.it criticizes the newspaper's choice.

The cover of the newspaper Libero a few days ago had the title: "Man of the year" and underneath was the photo of Giorgia Meloni. The irony is clear: you leftists have never managed to make a woman prime minister. "Only the right, which in the collective imagination depicted by progressive culture is misogynistic, has succeeded. And so we on the right, we crown Giorgia Meloni man of the year" wrote the Italian media.

Of course, the publication had many reactions and criticisms, mainly from the LGBT community.

On the website Gay.it it was written: "The newspaper - under the direction of Mario Sechi, former spokesman for the Prime Minister - has chosen, as expected, to represent "The President" as another symbol of male power. Behind the super stupidity contained in the editorial to once again justify the most vulgar masculinism seasoned with a good dose of binarism and double standards, lies a much deeper threat: for the conservative right, power, even when it is in the hands of a woman, it must be exercised by a man's hand".

Even communication experts reacted strongly to the cover, saying that Meloni is a prime minister because of "feminism" and that she has broken the ancient patterns of society.

"Libero" wrote after the reactions that "GQ" magazine also declared Kim Kardashian "Man of the year" but the Americans did not react the same way.
