The Russian Navy is prepared to strike countries far inside Europe with nuclear missiles.

This was revealed by secret files seen by the Financial Times, according to which, in a possible conflict with NATO, targets as far away as the west coast of France and Barrow-in-Furness in the United Kingdom would be targeted.

About thirty files provided by Western sources to the British newspaper detailed plans for a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, which also envisaged the possibility of a military confrontation with NATO.

In this case, the Russian navy would have to strike far beyond the borders of the Alliance countries with a series of crushing attacks across Western Europe. The files also contain a simulation of a tactical nuclear attack in the early stages of a conflict with a major world power.
