Strong winds and tornadoes 'hit' the USA again! 7 victims, thousands

Strong winds and tornadoes have once again engulfed the entire south of the United States of America, causing 7 casualties. The massive storms were mostly seen in Georgia and Alabama where strong winds damaged buildings and managed to throw cars across city streets in downtown Selma.

According to the authorities who are on the ground to report and come to the aid of the citizens, storms and uncontrolled weather may have caused other victims and that they are looking for those injured by this natural disaster.

After the storm began to subside Thursday night, tens of thousands of residents were without power in both states. In Selma, a city etched in the history of the civil rights movement, the city council used lights from cellphones as they held a sidewalk meeting to declare a state of emergency.

In Georgia, a passenger died when a tree fell on a vehicle in Jackson. Officials in Griffin, south of Atlanta, told local media that many people were trapped inside an apartment complex after trees fell on the building. A Hobby Lobby store in the city partially lost its roof, while elsewhere in the city, firefighters cut through a man who was pinned for hours under a tree that fell on his home. The city imposed a curfew from 10 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday. Nationwide, there were 33 separate tornado reports from the National Weather Service on Thursday, and Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina and North Carolina all saw tornado warnings for a time.
