Elon Musk replaces Twitter's 'bird' with a different logo

Elon Musk, as he had announced, has replaced the famous Twitter logo with a Doge meme, the icon of Dogecoin, a digital currency. 

In a tweet, the American billionaire said he kept his promise. It was not clear if the logo change was permanent. Musk has been known to use Twitter to check on his fans and critics.

Dogecoin's price, which is usually volatile, rose more than 20% in the past 24 hours to around 9 cents. It was trading just under 8 cents on Monday morning.

Dogecoin was created on December 6, 2013, by a pair of software engineers – as a joke. The name is a nod to the "doge" meme that became popular a decade ago. No comes after a series of changes Musk has made since taking ownership of Twitter.
