Court hearings have started against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Vesel, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi.

The defense of Hashim Thaçi has disputed the accusations, while emphasizing that he had no motive to commit crimes and that the facts must be put in context.

"The KLA was not involved in terrorist activities", the defense said.

We remind you that the day before, on Monday, the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor was heard, while today each of the defense teams will speak.

Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi, senior leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, are accused of persecution, imprisonment, other inhumane acts, torture, murder and forced disappearance of persons.

We remind you that yesterday many citizens protested in front of the Special Court in The Hague, after the trial against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army began.

The citizens came out with different banners, through which they demanded the freedom of the former leaders of the KLA.

"Don't judge my freedom", "We march for the KLA", "KLA, NATO", "Kosova victim, Serbia aggressor", were some of the banners of the protesters.
