Five civilians, including two children, have lost their lives after an aid package dropped from a plane in Gaza hit them while they were waiting for it on the ground.
The serious incident is reported to have happened because the parachute was not opened.
Thousands of civilians, desperate to be trapped between constant Israeli bombardments, and in a humanitarian crisis due to food shortages, rush down humanitarian aid packages whenever they are parachuted from planes.
Recently, the US has announced that it will build a temporary port on the coast of Gaza, to enable the introduction of large quantities of humanitarian aid.
