A 17-year-old Albanian girl from Kosovo has died as a result of an accident in Germany. The victim is Driana Rrecaj. She was hit by a car while walking to school

The news of her death was announced by the relatives of the deceased through social networks. The 17-year-old's uncle announced through Facebook that she would turn 18 in a month, adding that she had packed her bags as she is expected to go to Kosovo in the coming weeks.

"Family, friends and colleagues wanted to share a deep pain in my heart and family. On 24.05. 2022 in the case of the death of my niece (sister's daughter) Driana (Istref and Antigina) Rrecaj who lost her life yesterday as a result of being hit by a car while going to school in Germany. It was in the flowers of youth for another month, it turned 18, a girl with exactly Albanian features, also next week we waited for her to visit us and believe me, she happily prepared the suitcase, ie 1 week ago, while now we are waiting for her to come to the coffin ", he wrote on Facebook.

The funeral of the deceased will take place in the cemetery of the city of Peja.
