US President Donald Trump has decided to increase tariffs on Chinese goods again, bringing them to 145%, the White House confirmed to CNBC.
The increase comes after a new executive order from Donald Trump that increased tariffs from 84% to 125%.
An additional 20% tariff, linked to measures targeting fentanyl-related imports, brings the total to its current level at this value.
The move marks another escalation in US trade policy towards China and comes at a time when Trump has ordered a 90-day suspension of tariffs on all countries except China.
