Eddie Jawad

A gun attack on prominent businessman Eddie Jawad took place outside his $1.9 million luxury mansion in Macomb Township, Michigan.

Jawad, 59, known for owning over 20 " Pit Stop " gas stations, was shot by an unidentified man who emerged from the bushes and attacked him outside his home.

His wife, Khadije, told the media that it was not a robbery.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Jawad with gunshot wounds, and he was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Investigators believe the shooting was intentional, while the perpetrator remains at large.

Jawad is a well-known figure in Michigan's Arab-American business community and has been critical of major corporate developments, including opposing the construction of a Sheetz gas station near his properties.

He has been a strong voice for defending the interests of small local businesses, accusing the government of prioritizing large developments.
