A tragedy happened yesterday evening in Cagliari, where a 44-year-old Polish mayor fell from the fourth floor of the hotel where he was staying and died. The event took place at 2:00 in the "Due Colonne" hotel in the historic center of the city.

According to what was reconstructed by the police team, the mayor was in a room with a colleague and was apparently sitting on the window and lost his balance, falling into the void for several tens of meters.

The police have ruled out the hypothesis of an attack and his fall can be treated as an accident. The Polish mayor was in Sardinia together with other compatriots for a series of institutional visits.
