Biden and Harris call Trump after attack: 'Happy he's safe'

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has held a phone call with former President Donald Trump after the attack on the president a few days ago.

"Vice President Harris called former President Trump this afternoon to speak directly to him to express that she is happy that he is safe. It was a short and cordially brief conversation," the White House said in a statement.

The White House said President Joe Biden had also had a phone conversation with Trump.
