The Italian surgeon with 8th grade school is arrested, wanted by the police of
Matteo Politi

A 43-year-old man from Venice who passed off his entire life as a qualified plastic surgeon, but in fact had only completed the 8th grade of school, has been arrested by Italian authorities.

Matteo Politi was billed as the VIP doctor, but in reality he had been deceiving his patients by selling himself as a professional in aesthetic medicine for 15 years in a row, while working in various hospitals in Italy and Romania.

It is in Bucharest that he is wanted by justice and will have to serve a sentence of 3 years and 4 months in prison.

The 8-year-old cosmetic surgeon had been wanted by police worldwide since March and was thought to be hiding in Hong Kong, but the Venice carabinieri arrested him this morning in Marghera.

He was detained following the issuance of a European Arrest Warrant, requested by a court in Romania, on charges of fraud and falsification of documents related to the abusive practice of the medical profession in that country.

According to the Romanian judiciary, between March and December 2018, he deceived nine victims about his ability as a specialist in cosmetic surgery, using a fake name and performing operations in various health facilities in Bucharest in exchange for tens of thousands of euros. .
