JD Vance admits: We lost because of the war with Iran

Vice President JD Vance declared that the war with Iran was the cause of the Republican Party's loss in the midterm elections, arguing that voters who supported President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election switched to the Democrats this time, instead of simply not participating in the elections.

Vance referred to internal Republican polls and declared: "We lost because of the war."

He said voters wanted an end to the war with Iran, reduced inflation, and the implementation of a political agenda that puts America's interests first.

Vance also argued that there were demands for a change in the United States' relationship with Israel.

Vance described the election result as a reflection of discontent within the Republican base. However, his explanation for the loss was based on internal polls he presented.

Even President Trump has acknowledged that fuel prices hurt Republicans during the midterm elections, saying that people "didn't like" the fact that they had to pay more for gas.

In a reaction to Fox News, Trump said he does not see the results as a "blow" to his presidency, despite his party being projected to lose both houses of Congress.

He said that Democrats "have been aiming to achieve this" - a significant victory - for years, and that they "finally" achieved it.

Afterwards, he congratulated them on their "good work."

The president also took the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the past two years, singling out the economy and security at the southern border as his main successes.
