Midterm elections, Obama: The American people sent a clear message!
Barack Obama

Former US President  Barack Obama has reacted to the results of the midterm elections, where Democrats managed to take control of the US Congress.

In a reaction to "X", Obama says that the result showed that people want politics that unites, not divides.

He also had a message for President Donald Trump, saying that people want a leader who provides concrete solutions to challenges.

" Tonight, the American people sent a clear message: they want politics that unite people, not divide them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.

These results were only possible because exceptional candidates ran in every region of the country, including areas once considered hard to win. They came from diverse backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but they were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.

While this administration still has two years left in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the foundation for the future.

"We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a peaceful election and performed one of the most essential functions of our democracy ," was the former president's message.
