The Albanian Development Fund has completely lost its founding function, as instead of investing in rural areas, it is focusing more on the luxury of state offices, pouring millions of euros into them. The head of this fund, Dritan Agolli, has opened another tender procedure for the reconstruction of the Prime Minister's Office, this time on the underground floor.
Even before the paint on “Eden Park”, a wooden structure located in the inner courtyard of the Prime Minister’s Office, which cost a full 4.3 million euros, has dried, Agolli has allocated an amount of around 715 thousand euros to rehabilitate the basement of the Council of Ministers. It seems that the fourth mandate of the current majority, in addition to the luxury and benefits that power brings, is also focusing on the security of government members.
Could it be that the next tender was made out of " fear " of war in the Middle East? The timing of the tender announcement also coincides with the "alert" situation of several countries, including the United States of America, whose embassy in Tirana has issued a notice that " Iran may attack Albania."

The editorial staff of Vox News has researched official documents, announced by the Albanian Development Fund, in the Public Procurement Agency. According to them, a tender has been opened within the framework of "investments for the transformation of public assets with development potential into models of the highest standard". However, it is not about any building in rural areas, but about the building of the Council of Ministers.
The object of the tender is the "reconstruction of the technical space in the basement of the Prime Minister's Office ". The limit fund of this procedure is 71,205,446 lekë, while it concerns construction works, which will begin very soon.
The ADF has not yet provided much information about what works will be carried out in that building, while it is justified that it will systematize the water tank, and will also fix some other facilities. But, in the chronicles of the previous time, the media have reported that the basement of the Prime Minister's Office, or other institutions of special importance, have shelter facilities in case of war. In fact, they are connected to each other by underground tunnels, tunnels that are several kilometers long and have exits in areas far away from the building.
It is not known whether the works will affect these shelters, but the situation in the Middle East and the warnings of the Americans may have led to the mobilization of heads of state to "guard their heads". It seems that, after the green spaces, with fountains and recreational facilities in "Eden Park", the time for security has come. And who better than Dritan Agolli could intervene in this situation, since he has sufficient information about every nook and cranny of that building, given that he assembled the wooden structure and reconstructed other systems.
But if the prime minister declared that the government had not spent a single penny on the wooden installation, what is the next justification this time? Just like last time, the documents are official, with the relevant figures. These are only for the building on the boulevard, while the government has also spent on the reconstruction of several government villas, in Tirana, Dajti, Vlora or Dhërmi. Do poor Albanians have so much money that government officials can live in luxury and security?
