Vlora's past, recently revealed in a scene between a photograph and a painting, seems incredible.

It is the urban researcher and architect Artan Shkreli who publishes such a view of the 19th century, writing:

"Among the earliest views of the interior of old Vlora, at the beginning of the 19th century.

The large house of the Vlora family (the harem – the family home) is visible on the left. In the middle is the British consulate (established during the time of Ali Pasha Tepelena) and on the right is the central mosque.

The city is in its final stage of development, when there were still gardens and plots of land within the residential center, which were worked with plows.
