Citizens expect the government to remove or ease the taxes imposed on oil. What does she do? Proposes removal of tax on cookie creams.

This is the proposal that has been submitted for consultation by the Ministry of Finance, which requires the removal of the tax on imports of whey and milk cream, which are used for the production of croissants and biscuits.

We are not sure if there are factories in Albania that produce these products (who has seen them on the market under the name Made in Albania let us know), but in the accompanying report of the draft law, the government says that this tax is harming Albanian companies by made these products less competitive in foreign markets.

Another proposed change is the removal of VAT for heating wood from January 1 to December 31 of the following year.

The financial effects of these proposals are negligible and the financial effects on citizens' pockets are equally negligible.
