Erion Veliaj, Enis Hoxha and Arben Ahmetaj

Erion Veliaj had long been confirmed as the candidate of the Socialist Party for another term at the head of Tirana, and the only mystery that accompanied the process until the last legal deadlines for registration was that of the candidates for members of the Municipal Council.

The socialist list is now public. There are new names in it, but some veteran members of this council are also reconfirmed.

Among those who left, there is also one name, that of Enis Hoxha. For those who do not know him, Enis Hoxha is the brother-in-law of Arben Ahmetaj and the current councilor for the socialists in Tirana.

His exclusion from the list is not related more to his legal or professional reasons, than to the fact that as a relative of Ahmetaj, against whom SPAK has already started investigations, it could be an electoral cost for the socialists and Erion Veliajn in the effort for the third term at the head of Tirana.
