SPAK's silence/ Is Arben Ahmetaj being investigated or not?
Arben Ahmetaj and the two SPAK prosecutors, Klodian Braho and Ened Nakuçi

It has been 6 weeks since SPAK filed a report with suspicions against two prosecutors of the special structure, Klodian Braho and Ened Nakuçi, for concealing the evidence involving Arben Ahmetaj in the Elbasan incinerator file.

According to the report filed by Adriatik Doçi, the two prosecutors in question did not take into account Klodian Zoto's payment invoices on behalf of Arben Ahmetaj. It is about payments of thousands of euros that Zoto has made for the former minister's stays in luxury hotels in Europe.

The two prosecutors responded to the report with several announcements with old and procedural news, implying that the file was not closed and that Ahmetaj could be part of it, or even that it was being investigated.

The same reasoning was used by the colleague of the two prosecutors, Alfred Shehu, in the decision taken not to initiate investigations into Doçi's report. The journalist did not withdraw and submitted to the Special Court the request to start investigations against the two SPAK prosecutors.

The report calls for criminal prosecution of two prosecutors for serious abuse of office. But the court will decide on this. What is important is that even today, after six weeks, no one is clear whether Arben Ahmetaj is being investigated or not?

Either answer requires an explanation. If it is no, it should be argued why and if it is yes, it should be clarified why Ahmetaj has not been interrogated yet.

These questions await answers, but not simply procedural and dragging with terms that sometimes mean that it is being investigated, and other times that it is not being investigated.
