The 27-year-old deputy of the Albanian Parliament, Zegjine Çaushi, went viral during the electoral campaign in the parliamentary elections. She won the mandate "with additional votes", after the resignation of the candidate who came out with the most votes in the Fier District. But, since Zegjine was the "preferred" of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, she managed to get into Parliament. But, until now, she is remembered for the mistakes in the numbers or even for the replicas with the DP deputy, Gazmend Bardhi.

"Oh Gazoooo, the drop has dropped" became a refrain of Zegjine before and after the elections, as the Roskovec resident has now become a Tirana resident, with a salary that would be the envy of even the highest paid professions in Albania. She is the "chosen one" of the people, with a salary, including housing, fuel, telephone, etc., of over 5 thousand euros. But also with a special status as a deputy, since even if she is not elected in the future she will benefit from a part of the salary or when she retires she will also enjoy a special pension.

According to the annual periodic declaration, submitted to the ILDAKKI, the Roskovec MP was a "guard" in the physical security company, Illyrian Guard. A state-owned company with the Ministry of Interior as a shareholder, which deals with the security of buildings. Until December 2024, the company had Anduel Xhindi, a former Socialist Party MP, also from Roskovec, as its administrator.

The editorial staff of VoxNews has reviewed the annual asset declaration of Zegjine Çaushi, an elected member of the Albanian Parliament. The 27-year-old has declared income from a salary at Illyrian Guard sha.

According to her, from January 1, 2025 to September 12, 2025, the day she officially took office, Zegjineja from Roskovec was employed by the state-owned company. The MP stated that during this time she received an amount of 244,681 lek. It seems that, although she ran for office, Zegjineja did not spend any money. She was paid regularly, while also declaring income from bank accounts.

In addition to her salary, Zegjineja has declared that she has a sum of money in her bank account. In her asset declaration, she wrote that she has an individual current account. Up until the moment of the declaration, the MP has declared an amount of 14,987 euros.

This amount was on September 30, 2025, as time has passed and the "guardian" now receives a higher salary, perhaps she should have tripled it, given that from these statements she emerges as a hostess and a saver.

Zegjineja has declared another current account, this time in lek. She has written on September 30, 2025 an amount of 197,237 lek, income as a result of salary savings.

It seems that the 27-year-old has been very frugal with the salaries she has received over the years. In the same statement, Zegjineja stated that she had an amount of 3 million old lek in her apartment. Again, the source of creation is "income from salary".

VoxNews has learned that, in addition to working as a "facility guard" at the Illyrian Guard, the young woman stated that she also worked as a specialist in Civil Emergencies at the Municipality of Roskovec. She was also the chief inspector of the IMT.

In this position, Zegjineja has been rumored for a case of abuse of office, while currently the only defendant is the chairwoman Majlinda Bufi, while the MP seems to have let it go.

According to the CV she declared to the CEC, the 27-year-old has also worked at a private firm, Baze SHPK. The firm is owned by the Krasniqi brothers, one of whom was the director of the Cadastre. Years ago, these people were involved in an incident in Fier.
