For almost 70 minutes, Sali Berisha appeared this Friday at the usual press conference with journalists.

He started the conference with the usual accusations addressed to Edi Rama, the Government and his ministers, then spoke about the issue of incinerators, obviously inspired by Monika Kryemadhi and Ilir Meta.

He repeated the accusations of Kryemadhi and Meta that the incinerator of Tirana does not burn waste, how according to him 18 euros are being stolen for every ton of waste that is deposited in Sharre and so on and so forth.

The deposit and method of payment for each ton is a technical issue that is resolved by the contract of this concession. But what is not technical is the fact that even though he spoke for almost 70 minutes, Sali Berisha did not stop at Arben Ahmetaj.

He talked about how Edi Rama was misgoverning, how he was stealing with the incinerators, but avoided from the selected sentences, often with great effort, the name of Arben Ahmetaj and the invoices for hotel payments from Klodian Zoto for him.

Is this related to a new alliance between Berisha and Ahmetaj, where Ilir Meta left?

The question cannot be answered at the moment, but the fact that at the same conference Berisha took Ilir Meta under his arm, defending him from accusations that 20 or so years ago, when he was Prime Minister, he stole Krraba's gold leaves it open as a possibility.

Berisha, the same one who 20 years ago accused Ilir Meta as the author of the gold robbery, says today that he has no comment.
