The Administrative Court of Tirana has upheld the decision of the Audio-Visual Media Authority to revoke the license of the TIBO television platform.
The AMA's decision was taken on Monday, December 11, as the TIBO company turned to the Administrative Court of Tirana, where it requested the suspension of the revocation of the license.
However, after hearing the claims of the plaintiff and the state attorney, the Court decided to dismiss TIBO's lawsuit and uphold the revocation of the license, according to the AMA's decision.
The AMA's decision to revoke the license to the TIBO television platform came after a series of lawsuits for the pirated transmission of television programs, mainly sports events. In all cases, the AMA has carried out on-site verifications and confirmed the claims that the TIBO company broadcasts television programs without having the right.
It is worth noting that before arriving at the removal of the license, the Audio-Visual Media Authority has fined the TIBO company in several cases, which at no time has reflected and continued the pirated broadcast.
The TIBO company has continuously abused, broadcasting without any rights and in complete piracy, not only European football championships but also other television productions, such as the production of Top Channel, 'Big Brother Albania', or programs of other television.
