A 38-year-old man has been arrested after being deported from Greece, accused of physically assaulting his wife four years ago.

The Durrës Court has assigned Fatjon Hoxha the security measure of "prison arrest" for the criminal offense of "Murder due to family relations".

 The incident occurred on March 18, 2022, when the 38-year-old man is suspected of physically assaulting his wife. Due to the injuries sustained, the woman died 10 days later.

"The Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person of the Durrës DVP executed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for citizen FH, 38 years old, resident of Manzë, assigned by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, on 31.03.2022, for the criminal offense "Murder due to family relations".  

Citizen FH is accused of having, on 18.03.2022, exercised physical violence against his wife, who died 10 days later due to injuries.       

The procedural actions for the detention of this citizen were carried out after his deportation from Greece. 

"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action," the police announced today.
