The average salary in Albania reaches 87 thousand lekë, here are the highest-paid professions

The average gross monthly salary in Albania reached 87 thousand lek during the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to data published by INSTAT, this represents an increase of 4.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Compared to the third quarter of 2025, the average salary increased by 4.4%.

The increase in salaries at the end of the year is also related to the bonuses and additional payments that are usually given during this period.

The sectors with the highest salaries remain financial and insurance activities, where the average salary reaches about 173 thousand lek per month. Following them is the information and communication sector, with an average salary of about 131 thousand lek. This sector also marked the largest annual increase in salaries, with 7.9%.

On the other hand, the lowest wage growth was recorded in the arts, entertainment and other services sector, with only 2.2%.

In terms of professions, the highest salaries are for managers, legislators and executive directors, with an average of 135 thousand lek per month. Meanwhile, specialists with higher education are paid an average of 115 thousand lek.

The Armed Forces recorded the largest annual salary increase, with 10.6%, followed by civil servants, with 6.2%.

The data also shows a shift in employment towards higher wages. The share of employees earning over 120 thousand lek per month increased from 14.1% to 16.2% within a year, while the percentage of those paid up to the minimum wage decreased.
