One Albania prepares the new generation in IT, telecommunications and cybersecurity!

70 students from different universities benefited from practical training and experience

Rapid developments in information technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are rapidly changing the way the digital world works, creating an ever-increasing demand for professionals. This demand is not new to One Albania. Since 2016, the company has begun building a program dedicated to preparing young talents, at a time when this direction was just taking shape in the market.

The Academy of Technology and Cybersecurity successfully concluded its latest edition. 70 students graduated after an intensive month of theoretical and practical training in IT, technology and cybersecurity. The ceremony brought together company representatives, program mentors and actors from the academic and institutional worlds.

What started with about 40 students from the Polytechnic University of Tirana has today become a consolidated program that annually brings together students from various disciplines such as telecommunications, engineering, software, cybersecurity and business informatics. In this edition, students engaged in 11 theoretical sessions, as well as practical work with One Albania teams.

The program was supported by 34 mentors and internal teams, who worked directly with the students throughout its duration.

Over the years, the program has evolved, reflecting the transformation of the industry itself. In addition to core modules in technology and telecommunications, it now also includes lectures dedicated to cybersecurity, bringing the Academy closer to current market needs and the new risks of the digital world.

One of the most significant elements of the program remains its impact on the labor market. During the 10 years of the Academy's existence, a number of its students have been employed in various companies in the technology and telecommunications sector, including One Albania.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Deputy Executive Director and Human Resources Director at One Albania, Irida Bonati, emphasized the importance of the program for developing young talents.

"Technology and cybersecurity are today among the most dynamic and in-demand fields in the market. Through this Academy we aim to provide not only knowledge, but also a real experience that helps young people become an active part of the digital transformation. Investing in them is an investment in the future."

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enkelejda Muçaj, praised the role of the private sector in preparing young professionals for the technology market.
“Such initiatives create direct bridges between education and industry. Young people need concrete experiences that prepare them for a job market increasingly oriented towards technology and digital security.”

At the end of the program, students received certificates of participation, marking the completion of a cycle that, for many of them, remains not only an academic experience, but also a first step towards the job market.

In an industry that is rapidly transforming, the Academy of Technology and Cybersecurity remains one of One Albania's most concrete initiatives to invest in the talent of the future and build the connection between education and industry.
