Albania will host the largest regional cryptocurrency conference, as Balkans Crypto will bring the largest crypto companies to Tirana from May 29 to June 1.

Billed as Southeast Europe's premier Web3 gathering, the event will feature keynote speakers such as Bitcoin pioneer Nick Spanos, along with top executives from the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will open the conference with a keynote speech, marking the first major blockchain conference in the country and signaling the government's support for digital innovation.

In recent years, Albania has taken steps to create a clear regulatory framework for crypto and has signaled its openness to blockchain ventures.

Industry leaders are also well represented – Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance’s Regional Head for Central and Eastern Europe, and Vugar Usi Zade, COO of Bitget, will provide perspectives from the world’s leading exchanges. Renowned European investor Karel Jane?ek and other high-profile figures round out the agenda.

The main sponsors of the multi-day conference will be the world's largest crypto exchanges, such as Binance and Bitget. According to Cointelegraph, one of the largest online crypto media outlets in the world, the involvement of major players in the conference highlights the confidence in the blockchain potential of the Balkans.

In addition to Binance and Bitget, a host of other blockchain companies, investors, and ecosystem partners are involved as sponsors and partners, reflecting a collective effort to nurture the region's blockchain innovation.
