The head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, commented on the developments in the plenary session today in a media appearance. He said that despite the flare-ups or the noise, the SP will continue with the international agenda.
He also came to the defense of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, describing her as one of the best SP MPs. Meanwhile, SPAK had previously requested her arrest for corruption, a request that was rejected by the Parliament.
Balla: We have approved 9 laws related to our negotiation agenda, one of which required a qualified majority. In addition to whistles, flares and noise and violence, the international agenda does not stop. Today, the budget review calendar was also approved. Today, Albanians have received good news about the budget with a social character. Even the fiscal package, with equally good news, such as the reduction of VAT on food, by 6%. The abolition of the fuel turnover tax is good news. Even the opposition must vote in favor of increasing and doubling the pension. The SP parliamentary group consists of 82 members and they are always there to vote. Their contract is with the SP and with Albania. Let me say that as far as her presence in the electoral zone is concerned, she is among the best SP deputies. I invite you tomorrow at 17:00 to the “Loyal Presence” in Fier, to go there and see her.
