In the Special Court, in the trial against  Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi , the lawyers refused to participate, despite the Administrative Appeals Court deciding to suspend the decision of the Chamber of Advocates to boycott.

The lawyers said they had not received notice, through legal channels, of the suspension of the boycott.

"The fact that prosecutor Kllapi is absent is not a good sign. I do not think it is reasonable that you are starting the trial with the lawyers and not with me, as the main defendant. The profession of lawyer depends fundamentally on the DHKA. It is not a matter of lack of will, but my lawyer cannot risk his license. The impasse should have been resolved earlier, after almost 600 blocked court processes. We demand that, for objective reasons and reasons, I defend myself. The European Court of Human Rights has accepted such cases," declared Meta.

Meanwhile, Monika Kryemadhi said that she considers the boycott to be an abuse of the legal profession. "I request that we continue the session, as we agreed last time," said the former MP.

According to prosecutor Arben Kraja, since the charges are very serious, they require the presence of a lawyer.

"The prosecutors don't care more about our accusations than we do. You have committed violations in terms of taking evidence, entering the house, conducting searches. What the prosecutor is saying is hypocrisy," Kryemadhi responded.

" I think my prophecy came true like when I warned of the earthquake. There are no charges against me, because if there were, you would have filled it with cameras here. Are you taking Romeo Karaj's report as a basis and are you worried about the defense ?"

"I ask that the session continue, that the previous decision be taken into account," Meta stressed.

Meanwhile, as the court adjourned for a decision, Meta exchanged jokes with one of the people present in the audience.

The Special Court decided to postpone the hearing and appoint lawyers primarily for the former Meta-Kryemadhi couple.
