Lawyer Plarent Ndreca raises concerns about Erion Veliaj's safety following his transfer to Fier prison, stating that the mayor is in the same corridor with three people sentenced to life imprisonment.

In an interview for the show "Breaking" with Fiori Dardhan on Top News, Ndreca said that one of them is a character known for criminal activity, about whom Veliaj has previously reacted publicly.

According to the lawyer, Veliaj's placement in these facilities raises questions about the level of security guaranteed to him, considering the nature of the criminal offenses for which the other people there have been convicted.

" Veliaj and the charges against him are related to so-called white-collar crimes, while they have been convicted of crimes against life ," said Ndreca, objecting to placing his client in the same corridor with people he described as highly socially and physically dangerous.

He emphasized that one of the people sentenced to life imprisonment is a well-known figure due to his criminal activity, to which Veliaj has also reacted publicly.
