Here comes the moment.
Now we can breathe freely.
After years of dealing with corruption, misgovernment, scandals, mass immigration, organized crime, a failing education system, and not forgetting the restoration of SPAK, the government has finally provided the cure for the enemy it has identified and is threatening the country: Let's shut down TikTok !
For the good of all, the government's new vision has decided to end this danger in 12 months. By 2030, who knows how many other dangers will be eradicated!
It's naive to ask if this is a coincidence that happens two months before the elections.
No way!
This is simply an honest attempt to save our youth from dance videos, idiotic challenges, tuna pasta recipes, wolves hiding in the valleys of social media, and people who have become famous for being honest.
This has nothing to do with the fact that the Prime Minister doesn't have the TikTok audience with him. No!
In this historic decision, like those thoughts that were in Enver's time, when we were alone, today, differently, we are not alone! We are in a society that everyone envies us:.
India (2020) banned TikTok because it had problems with China.
Pakistan (2021) banned it for spreading "immorality".
Afghanistan (2022) banned it so as not to distract people from Sharia law.
Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, and Somalia; they banned it for various reasons, mainly because they had to ban something.
Australia does not allow it for children under 16.
Canada, Britain, New Zealand and their European peers have banned it for public employees on work phones because, surprisingly, they go to work to work.
But, as always, we do something different. Something model for the world.
In Albania, we don't just ban it for civil servants, nor for minors. We ban it for everyone.
That this is true democracy, today and tomorrow, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, a full 12 months of democracy.
This is SOLIDARITY: either we are all free, or we are all trapped!
Finally, we can sleep peacefully! Albania has no more problems, except for TikTok.
It doesn't matter that a TikTok might be faster at exposing a corruption scandal than any captured media outlet.
It doesn't matter that most young people used it to make fun of the reality they live in.
It doesn't matter that the decision resembles more a digital "coup" than a democratic act.
The important thing is that, starting next week, we won't need to worry about TikTok's algorithms anymore. We'll be back to our old pastimes, like:
Checking the lists of candidates for deputies in the hope that there is a name that is not related to the criminal world).
Reviewing promises of 24-hour water, free healthcare, legalizations, railways, paved roads, etc.
The old practice of brainwashing and brainwashing with news editions continues with intensity.
Ultimately, such a decision should be welcomed! Because as of March 15, an Albania without TikTok will be the place where everyone lives happily, without problems, without worries and above all… without the annoyance of a video that can remind us of what is really happening.
After March 15, anyone who wants to navigate a real platform, I suggest "eye to eye", which will be expanded with the rubrics "ear to ear", "arm to arm", "jaw to jaw", "tooth to tooth", knee to knee".
